    Noble Maritime Collection
The Noble Maritime Collection is a maritime museum and study center, housed in an elegant landmark building on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center. John A. Noble (1913-83), for whom the museum is named, was a maritime artist who chronicled the last chapter in the centuries old Age of Sail. The museum’s centerpiece is Noble’s houseboat studio and the art he created there, including paintings, drawings, photographs, and lithographs. The museum’s Print Gallery exhibits the work of well-known printmakers, and the print studios are available to artists. Programs for all ages use art, history, storytelling, and music to celebrate the working waterfront and the history of Sailors’ Snug Harbor, the famous retirement home for mariners. The museum facility includes galleries, two print studios, a library and archives, classrooms, and a museum shop.
